Keeping it short: Watch the language.  We're all adults here and that's fine, but gratuitous profanity and such will push me into having to use the 'naughty word filter,' which I don't want to do.  It's easier to ban you and your IP.  So be cool. Spam me and die.  You have a legit site you want to link, or ask for feedback on, fine.  You want to spam your malware or make-money-fast schemes I'll nuke you faster than you can say 'Hiroshima.' Don't post stuff that's not yours.  This includes hotlinking to images on other people's sites.  That costs money for them - so not only are you stealing their work, you're stealing their bandwidth.  Don't.  Link to it with a URL if you gotta. No porn - that's media and text.  No.  The 'artful insult' clause is in full effect here.  This is something that was first used waaay back on FIDONet.  Insult the post if you must, but not the poster.  'That's the screwiest idea I've ever heard' is fine.  'You're the screwiest poster on this board' or 'anyone who believes that has a screw loose' isn't.
